Alleged Mafia figure sentenced to 7 to 9 years in prison
Mark Rossetti, an alleged Mafia figure who was secretly an FBI informant, was sentenced Thursday to seven to nine years in state prison for a crime committed while he was an informant. Rossetti was convicted earlier this month of a planned break-in at a Roslindale home. He had schemed to rob a drug dealer who lived there of heroin and cash. The charge was one of several facing Rossetti, who allegedly ran a crime ring. He faces trial on other charges, including drug dealing, loan sharking, and extortion.
