Somerset woman faces drunken driving charges after hitting State Police cruiser on I-195 in Fall River
A Somerset woman is facing drunken driving charges after allegedly hitting a State Police cruiser stopped in a highway work zone on Interstate 195 in Fall River early Saturday.
Laurie A. Lacle, 48, is charged with operating under the influence of alcohol, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, leaving the scene of an accident, failure to change lanes for an emergency vehicle, and driving an uninspected motor vehicle, State Police said in a statement.
Lacle allegedly hit the driver’s side of the marked cruiser parked on the westbound side of I-195 near Exit 7 in Fall River around 3:30 a.m. Saturday, State Police said.
The state trooper was inside his cruiser and said his leg hurt but that he would seek medical attention on his own time, State Police said.
