College student injured in Waltham hit-and-run
A local college student was struck by a hit-and-run driver in Waltham early this morning, suffering non-life-threatening shoulder and head injuries, according to Waltham police.
At approximately 12:12 a.m., the 18-year-old student was crossing at the corner of Chestnut and Hall streets when he was struck by a car, said Waltham police Officer Stephen Donahue.
“The suspect motor vehicle was believed to be a black Mustang,” Donahue said.
The driver fled north on Hall Street and then east on Taylor Street. The student was treated at the scene and taken to a hospital for his injuries.
Officers could not find the driver.
The incident is being investigated by the Waltham Police Reconstruction Team and the Middlesex District Attorney’s office.
