A wrong-way driver was killed in a crash in Framingham late Saturday night, while another driver was killed in a North Andover crash early Sunday morning, according to authorities.

The wrong-way driver, a Framingham woman in her mid-30s whose name was not released, was killed at about 11:30 p.m. Saturday after she hit another vehicle head-on, said Framingham Police Lieutenant Ronald Brandolini.

The woman had been alone in her Hyundai on Fountain Street near Jodie Road when she crossed into the opposite lane, striking the other car, according to Brandolini.

A male passenger in the other car was taken to Metro West Medical Center in Framingham, Brandolini said. Officials are continuing to investigate the accident.

A man in his 20s was killed in an accident in North Andover at about 3:30 a.m. Sunday, according to North Andover Police Lieutenant Charles Gray.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, at Salem Street near Campbell Road, said Gray.

The victim’s identity has not been released and the circumstances of the accident are under investigation.
