Police shoot and kill man in Taunton, DA’s office says
A man was shot and killed by police on Wales Street in Taunton Thursday afternoon, according to the Bristol district attorney’s office.
The shooting, which occurred around 3:30 p.m., is being investigated by State Police detectives assigned to the district attorney’s office, according to spokesman Gregg Miliote.
Investigators are trying to determine what prompted the shooting, Miliote said. The victim’s identity was not released.
