Boston firefighters quickly brought under control a two-alarm fire this morning in a vacant hangar at Logan International Airport.

Fire officials say the blaze broke out shortly after 9:30 a.m. in the three-story hangar at 204 Prescott St.

The fire was on the third floor in an office area adjacent to the open hangar space, according to official tweets from the Boston Fire Department.

The second alarm was declared as Boston firefighters joined the Massport Fire Department in fighting the blaze.

The flames were brought under control within a half-hour. Officials are remaining on the scene to put out hot spots. No injuries were reported; no planes were inside the building at the time of the fire.

Massport spokesman Matt Brelis said the hangar was under reconstruction and no one was inside when the fire broke out.

Fire officials are looking into the cause of the blaze. The fire was confined to the third floor, officials said.

There is an area near the hangar designated for private jets, according to the Boston Fire Department. There was no damage to any planes, as they were at least 200 yards away.

“Operations between Massport Fire, Boston Fire, Boston EMS, State Police, and airport staff went flawlessly,” the Boston Fire Department said in an official tweet.
