Two West Quincy homes invaded in separate incidents, police say
Two homes in West Quincy were broken into in separate incidents one minute apart Saturday night, police said.
“They don’t seem to be related in any regard,” said Quincy Police Sergeant Michael O’Shea. “It’s a pretty busy area, but I wouldn’t say this is normal.”
A home at 175 Centre St. was broken into at 11:27 p.m. by two black males, one of whom had a gun, O’Shea said. The resident suffered a head injury “from an altercation with the suspects,” O’Shea said. The resident was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening lacerations, he said.
“It is unknown what [the suspects] were looking for,” O’Shea said.
In a separate incident, a white male broke into 319 Granite St. at 11:28 p.m., about a half-mile from the first break-in, but fled after a resident started yelling, O’Shea said.Jaclyn Reiss can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org.
