Revere woman sentenced to 3 years on drug charges; sold drugs during lunch break at Boston elementary school

A Revere woman who sold drugs during her lunch break from her job at a Boston elementary school has been sentenced to three years in state prison, prosecutors said today.

Rose Cefalo, 31, pleaded guilty Wednesday in Suffolk Superior Court to charges that included possession with intent to distribute heroin, conspiracy to traffic in heroin, and conspiracy to distribute cocaine, Attorney General Martha Coakley’s office said in a statement.

“What is most disturbing is that this defendant sold drugs during her lunch break from an elementary school. She is being held accountable for threatening the safety of our communities and our children,” Coakley said in the statement.

The prosecutors also said Cefalo was connected with a “highly organized and violent criminal enterprise” run by alleged mob captain Mark Rossetti.
