Foxborough resident dies in Easton crash
A 76-year-old Foxborough resident died after driving into a utility pole off Route 106, Easton police said. The driver, whom police did not identify pending family notification, was believed to have a medical history that could have contributed to the accident and was reportedly seen driving erratically just prior to the accident, Easton police said in a statement. An investigation showed that the vehicle veered off the right shoulder and sideswiped a guardrail before re-entering the roadway, crossing both lanes of traffic, hitting a utility pole, and coming to rest against a tree near 285 Foundry St. in Easton. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. Easton police and State Police are investigating.
