78-year-old Milton woman struck, killed by car
A 78-year-old Milton woman was struck and killed by a car Friday night in Milton, according to the Norfolk County District Attorney Michael W. Morrissey’s office.
The woman, who was wearing a dark coat, was struck by a car while trying to cross Highland Street at about at 4:51 p.m., said David Traub, a spokesman for the DA’s office.
“The person driving the car quickly pulled over and Milton police responded quickly,” said Traub. The woman was transported to Milton Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
The identity of the victim has not been released, but Traub said she lived on West Street, which is close to the scene of the accident.
Traub declined to release any information about the driver, but said no charges have been filed. The accident remains under investigation by the district attorney’s office and Milton and State police.
