New Year’s Eve comes early for Boston elderly at Seaport bash

New Year’s Eve came early today for thousands of Boston’s elderly residents.

The city’s annual First Night Senior Celebration is the hottest ticket on the senior social calendar, and this year’s event drew 2,600 people to the Seaport World Trade Center for a free meal and bash, complete with a New Year’s countdown.

The event, hosted by the city’s elderly commission, is now in its 22nd year.
