6 displaced by fire in Brighton; one firefighter injured

Six people are displaced and a firefighter was sent to the hospital following a two-alarm fire in Brighton Sunday evening, Boston Fire Department spokesman Steve MacDonald said.

Firefighters responding to 4 Langley Road just before 9:45 p.m. Sunday found flames showing on the second floor of the two-story, two-family home in Brighton’s Oak Square.

The fire started in the home’s first-floor front bedroom, damaging a corner of the first and second floors. The building also sustained water and smoke damage throughout, MacDonald said. The fire’s cause is still under investigation.
