Massachusetts ski areas hit jackpot with snow from Blizzard of 2013
Massachusetts ski areas, often overlooked by skiers and riders who usually head north to the mountains of Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine, got dumped on during the Blizzard of 2013, with nearly three feet of snow falling at several of the state’s small resorts.
Nashoba Valley in Westford is reporting 30 inches, and Wachusett Mountain Ski Area in Princeton got walloped with 32.
Skiers - eager to hit the slopes right away - can head to Wachusett Mountain or Berkshire East in Charlemont, both of which are open until 10 p.m. Saturday.Mike Bello can be reached at email@example.com.
