A woman and two young boys were taken to hospitals this morning after the van they were in struck a school bus carrying four children near a Foxborough school.
Foxborough Fire Chief Roger Hatfield said he did not know the severity of the injuries, but a 9-year-old boy who was complaining about stomach injuries was taken by ambulance to Hasbro Children’s Hospital in Providence, while the woman and other boy were taken to Norwood Hospital.
The collision, which Hatfield said was weather-related, occured on Mechanic Street near the John J. Ahern Middle School at 10:20 a.m.
The four children on the bus and the bus driver were evaluated by paramedics and the children chose to go back to school, Hatfield said.
