The South End man who allegedly kicked an 8-year-old girl in the leg while on an Orange Line train last month was arraigned today in Charlestown District Court on one charge of assault with a dangerous weapon, prosecutors said.
A not-guilty plea was entered on behalf of Antwan Crawford, 32, who allegedly kicked the girl on Feb. 27 after arguing with passengers on the train because he believed somebody had stepped on his shoes, Suffolk County District Attorney Daniel F. Conley’s office said in a statement.
The girl’s mother took a picture of Crawford, and police used the photograph to identify him and arrest him Wednesday, the statement said.
Crawford was released on $300 cash bail after his arraignment, prosecutors said.
