Police suspend search in Lexington for suspect who fled drug bust in Waltham
Police have suspended the search in Lexington for a suspect who fled from a drug bust in Waltham earlier today, authorities said.
The man, who is known to Waltham police, was observed selling drugs to an undercover officer around 3:18 p.m., Waltham Police Sergeant John Brooks said.
The suspect fled from police in a white car with New Hampshire plates, before abandoning the car in Lexington in a neighborhood area just off Route 4/225 near the intersection with Route 128.
State Police K-9 units and a helicopter assisted in the search until it was suspended at 5:15 p.m., said Trooper Kenneth Gaetz.
Brooks said police don’t need a manhunt because they know who the man is and will be able to find him later.Todd Feathers can be reached at email@example.com. Follow him on Twitter at @ToddFeathers.
