There’ll be a brief hiccup with today’s sunny day when clouds roll in this afternoon, potentially bringing isolated showers, but that’s the only blip in an otherwise clear forecast through next week, the National Weather Service said.
The clear, brilliant morning will give way to clouds, potentially bringing isolated showers after 1 p.m. to the Boston area. Most of the precipitation will stay in the Merrimack Valley, but a shower or two could drift eastward, meteorologist Charlie Foley said. Expect highs in the upper 50s.
A sunny, warm weekend is in store, with no precipitation in sight. Saturday will see highs near 66 degrees in Boston with sunny skies. Temperatures could hit 70 Sunday in Boston with mostly sunny skies.
The nice weather will continue into the workweek. Forecast highs though Thursday are all in the 60s, compared to the normal high of 59 degrees. There’s a hint of a disturbance potentially bringing precipitation late in the day Monday, “but it’s still iffy,” Foley said.
“The sure thing is that it’s going to be a great weekend,” Foley said.
