A man was shot and wounded by a friend in the city’s Roslindale neighborhood around 9 a.m. today, Boston police said.
The man was rushed to Brigham and Women’s Hospital for treatment, according to Boston Emergency Medical Services. His condition was not immediately available.
Boston police spokeswoman Cheryl Fiandaca said in an e-mail that the man was shot by a friend, and that the circumstances remain under investigation.
The shooting took place near 3 Brook St., police said.
This morning’s shooting comes in the wake of two separate shootings in the Dorchester neighborhood Sunday. Both victims remain hospitalized and in critical condition, police said today.
At about 5:15 p.m. Sunday, officers found a male victim in the 500 block of Washington Street suffering from a gunshot wound, police said. He was taken to Boston Medical Center.
At about 7:45 p.m. Sunday, officers found a male on Wayland Street suffering from life-threatening gunshot wounds, police said. He was also taken to the BMC.
No arrests have been made.
