Falmouth police searching for 17-year-old resident in connection with stabbing in Cape town
Falmouth police today are continuing to search for 17-year-old Falmouth resident Gregory Harris, who allegedly stabbed a man on Homestead Lane in Falmouth Wednesday, leaving the victim with serious injuries.
Falmouth Police Lieutenant Brian Reid said Harris “was known to the Falmouth police” and that he was quickly identified as the person allegedly responsible for a stabbing that took place near 23 Homestead Lane on Wednesday around 4:48 a.m.
“It is an expanded search for Harris at this point,” Reid said.
Harris is described by police as a light-skinned black male approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall and 140 pounds.
Harris is considered a danger to the public, officers said.
When police arrived at the stabbing scene, they found the victim behaving erratically and covered in blood.
The stabbing victim was transported by the Falmouth Fire and Rescue Department to the Falmouth Hospital, and subsequently transferred to a Boston-area hospital with serious injuries, officers said.
