Roxbury man says two suspects took gun during home invasion, police say

A Roxbury man was robbed of a gun Sunday night during an apparent home invasion after two suspects bound him with duct tape and left him in his bathroom, police said.

The victim told police the two suspects were accompanied by a man he thought he recognized when they burst into his apartment on Fenwood Road Sunday night.

The two suspects demanded the victim surrender his firearm and money from his safe, police said. How the suspects knew the victim had a firearm is under investigation, said Officer Neva Coakley.

The victim told police he was bound with duct tape and left in his bathroom, police said.

The suspects escaped the home with the victim’s black Walter P99C 9mm firearm, iPhone, and possibly a box of ammunition, police said.

The victim was able to free himself after about 20 minutes to call police, Coakley said.
