Boston man ejected from car, dies in I-95 crash

A Boston man was thrown from his car and killed after his car collided with another vehicle this morning on Interstate 95 in Norwood, State Police said.

The 33-year-old man, whose name was not released because his next of kin haven’t been notified, was driving his 2008 Lexus sedan southbound at 4:15 a.m. when the Lexus’s front end collided with the driver’s side of a 2013 Chevy Silverado, said Trooper Todd Nolan, a State Police spokesman.

The Lexus hit the median strip and the driver was ejected from the vehicle. He was declared dead at the scene, police said.

The driver of the Chevy was not injured and is not expected to face any charges. Speed appeared to be a factor in the crash, police said.

The investigation and cleanup of the crash caused a four-hour road closure. The morning commute was heavily affected, even when the interstate was reopened, police said.

The case is under investigation by State Police.
