Quincy man charged with attempted kidnapping for allegedly ordering woman into his car

A Quincy man has been charged with attempting to kidnap a 20-year-old woman who was waiting for a bus near a public library on Washington Street in Quincy.

Mark Levin, 50, allegedly tried to order the woman into his car on July 18. He was arrested Monday and arraigned Tuesday in Quincy District Court, where he was ordered held without bail pending a dangerousness hearing Friday, officials said.

Levin faces a charge of attempted kidnapping, a worker in the Quincy District Court clerk’s office said.
