A fuel spill on Interstate 95 in Norwood today caused lane closures and major traffic delays, police said.
At around 12:30 p.m. diesel fuel spilled near Exit 11 after a crash between two vehicles and a box truck, State Police said. All three lanes of the roadway were closed, but motorists were able to use the breakdown lane.
Sanders responded to the scene and about 20 gallons of oil were cleaned up, said Massachusetts Department of Transportation spokesman Mike Verseckes.
State Police said they believed there were injuries but did not have any information on them.
The road opened again at 1:54 p.m., State Police said.
