A South Weymouth woman was taken by MedFlight to Rhode Island Hospital in Providence with serious but not life-threatening injuries Sunday after her motorcycle was in a collision with a pickup truck in Taunton, State Police said.
Preliminary investigations indicated that the motorcycle was rear-ended at around noon by a Ford F-250 pickup truck on the on-ramp to Route 140 South near the Silver City Galleria in Taunton, according to Trooper Dustin Fitch.
Kim Visalli, 34, was admitted to the hospital’s trauma center, Fitch said. The driver of the pickup, Bobby Banana, 34, of Taunton, was unharmed, Fitch said.
The ramp was closed from 12:10 p.m. until 2:17 p.m. while the woman was given medical attention and State Police investigators reviewed the scene.
The investigation continued, and no charges had been filed Sunday night.
