‘Spectacular’ weather expected to last into next week, National Weather Service says
A high pressure system will continue its dominance over Massachusetts today, resulting in an extended period of perfectly dry, warm weather. Temperatures will climb toward 80 degrees today, with sunny skies, according to the National Weather Service.
“We are going to have warm days with clear skies and comfortable cool nights,” said Charlie Foley, weather service meteorologist. “This is just spectacular weather.”
Friday’s weather pattern will mirror Thursday’s. Temperatures should inch up a few degrees into the low 80s, with sunny skies expected all day. Humidity levels will remain comfortable in the 50s, according to the weather service.
The weekend will see even more sun. Precipitation isn’t expected until the middle of next week, and temperatures will hover in the mid-80s every day until at least Tuesday.
The threat for precipitation could develop late next week, but conditions should stay dry and sunny until mid week.
“It looks like this weather will extend early into next week, around Wednesday,” Foley said. “But it could extend beyond that.”Jasper can be reached at email@example.com or on Twitter @Jasper_Craven
