Police shut down marijuana farm on Carver-Plympton line
Carver and Plympton police today closed down an illegal marijuana farm where $10,000 worth of the plant was growing, authorities said.
Police located the farm on the Carver-Plympton line in a wooded area near Montello Street after receiving an anonymous tip, police said in a statement.
Police conducted surveillance in the area and confirmed that marijuana was growing there, the statement said. The plants were found at different stages of maturity with an estimated street value of $10,000, according to the statement.
Police are investigating and if a suspect is identified he or she could face charges of unlawful cultivation of a controlled substance, police said.
