Dunkin’ Donuts robbed again — this time in Dedham

Make that a dozen. A Dunkin’ Donuts was robbed Monday in Dedham, the 12th robbery of a Dunkin’ shop in Eastern Massachusetts since March, police said.

At about 10 p.m. Monday, police received reports of the robbery at 395 Providence Highway.

The suspect in the robbery resembled the description of the robber in the 11 other robberies, police said. He is described as white or Hispanic, with a thin build and dark, buzz-cut hair. In all the robberies, the suspect was wearing dark clothing that covered much of his body and face, making him hard to identify beyond basic characteristics.

Six of the robberies have happened in Norfolk County and four in Bristol County.

Local authorities are coordinating their efforts to find a suspect. State Police have not been involved in the investigation, said David Traub, spokesman for the Norfolk district attorney’s office.

After the 11th robbery, which occurred in Raynham last Wednesday, Dunkin’ Donuts offered a $2,500 reward for information leading to the arrest of a suspect.

Anyone who has information related to the crimes is urged to contact Dedham police detectives at 781-751-9300.
