Victim’s relative tries to attack suspect in murder of Winthrop man during arraignment in Chelsea courthouse

The alleged killer of a Winthrop man appeared in Chelsea District Court today where the gruesome details of the savage stabbing prompted the victim's relative to try and attack the man as he stood in the prisoner’s dock.

Court officers descended on the relative of murder victim Ronald Russo, pulled him out of the court room and brought him under control, according to broadcasts of the court event.

The incident took place during the arraignment for Peter Deconinck, who pleaded not guilty to murder charges and was ordered held on $1m cash bail by Judge Michele Hogan.
