Fine weather expected through Saturday
Dry weather and warm temperatures will stick around until Saturday when a cold front will enter Massachusetts. Today will be sunny, with temperatures climbing near 80, according to the National Weather Service. These general conditions will continue through Saturday.
“There is no excitement in the weather for the next few days, there is just enjoyment,” said Alan Dunham, Weather Service meteorologist.
A sea breeze will likely develop today, bringing temperatures along the coast down a few degrees. Humidity levels will remain comfortable. Temperatures overnight will be slightly warmer than earlier in the week, settling in the upper 50s.
Friday will see plenty of sunshine and temperatures again near 80, forecasters said. Friday night’s conditions will mimic Thursday’s, with temperatures again dipping into the upper 50s.
Saturday will see more sunshine, with a high near 76. A southern wind will develop in the afternoon, bringing gusts up to 18 miles per hour. A cold front will slowly move across the region, bringing showers late in the day. Thunder is unlikely to accompany the rain, according to the Weather Service.
Showers will likely continue into Sunday, but should taper off by 3 p.m. Skies will be cloudy for most of the day, and temperatures will be cooler — peaking around 61. The chance of showers will increase overnight, but should diminish early Monday.
Pleasant, but cooler, conditions should return early next week, with partly sunny skies and high temperatures hovering in the 60s, according to the Weather Service.
“We will have more tranquil weather early into next week,” Dunham said. “Current trends have us staying dry through Wednesday.”Jasper can be reached at email@example.com or on Twitter @Jasper_Craven
