WOBURN — Jared Remy’s murder trial has been tentatively scheduled for Oct. 7, 2014, one year to the day of his recent indictment in Middlesex Superior Court.

Remy’s defense attorney, Edward P. Ryan Jr., and Assistant District Attorney Lisa McGovern agreed on the date during a brief pretrial hearing this morning at the courthouse in Woburn.

The son of Red Sox broadcaster Jerry Remy faces a murder charge and five other criminal counts stemming from the Aug. 15 slaying of Jennifer Martel, an aspiring teacher. Martel, 27, was the mother of Jared Remy’s 5-year-old daughter.
