Two Stoughton men were arrested this weekend after their housemate died Saturday following an argument involving the three, investigators said.
Jonathan Munro, 52, of 275 West Street was pronounced dead at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton Saturday afternoon, according to a statement from the Norfolk District Attorney’s office.
Authorities are studying the results of an autopsy done Sunday to determine the cause of Munro’s death.
However, police arrested two of Munro’s housemates—Robert Westbrooks, 50, and Edward Aguiar, 40—and charged them with domestic assault and battery.
Authorities said the housemates fought before Munro’s died, but did not say if the argument caused his death.
“This investigation remains very active, and we are awaiting further results of the autopsy,” said Norfolk District Attorney Michael W. Morrissey in the statement.
Authorities noted that Westbrooks and Augiar are two of several adults who live in the house.
Westbrooks and Aguiar are expected to be arraigned at 9 a.m. Monday in Stoughton District Court, authorities said.
