Quincy woman, 78, who crashed car into Wollaston Red Line station has died, police say
The 78-year-old woman who crashed her vehicle into the MBTA’s Wollaston Red Line station Thursday has died, MBTA Transit Police said today.
The victim was identified as Mary Mullaney of Quincy. The medical examiner’s office will perform an autopsy today to determine the cause of death, Transit Police said.
According to police, Mullaney had a medical emergency before crashing her car around 10:25 a.m. Thursday. The impact wedged Mullaney’s car in the station’s entrance doors, police said.
A 57-year-old man was struck by the vehicle, police said.
Mullaney received emergency CPR at the scene, police said.
She and the man were both transported to Quincy Medical Center.
