Brockton man charged in shooting at Roxbury cell phone store
Boston Police on Sunday arrested a 27-year-old Brockton man who is suspected of killing a man cell phone employee during a botched robbery in July.
Elosko Brown is scheduled to be arraigned Monday in Roxbury District Court on charges that stem from the fatal shooting of Joseph Morante.
Morante, 19, of Revere, was shot on July 31 during an attempted robbery at a cell phone store on Tremont Street in Roxbury near Northeastern University.
Morante had recently received his GED and was engaged to be married at the time of his death.
According to his fiancee, Morante was training at iWorld Accessories in East Boston before being transferred to the Roxbury store. He had been at that location for three weeks, and was scheduled to return to the East Boston location the following week.Zachary T. Sampson can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org.
