Boston man faces charge of lewd behavior at Green Line station
A Boston man is facing a charge that he engaged in lewd behavior while waiting to board a Green Line train at the Hynes Convention Center Station earlier this month.
Salah Koutaiby, 49, will be arraigned today in Boston Municipal Court on a charge of open and gross lewdness. A witness’s description of Koutaiby led to his arrest by MBTA Transit Police Tuesday at the Hynes station, Transit Police said today in a statement.
Koutaiby was initially reported to Transit Police by a female commuter who said she witnessed Koutaiby “exposing himself and committing a lewd act” while waiting for a train at about 6:15 p.m. on Jan. 16, Transit Police said.
It was the second arrest this month by Transit Police of suspects who allegedly committed lewd behavior while on MBTA property. Adam Morrissey, 19, of Salem pleaded not guilty Tuesday in Salem District Court to the same charge after he allegedly touched himself inappropriately while riding a commuter rail train in Gloucester.Catalina Gaitan can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org.
