The Andrea Gail cocktail is a take on the Dark and Stormy, which uses rum and ginger beer. Ginger beer is non-alcoholic but this version uses a beer, with alcohol, that is ginger flavored. Here's the recipe prepared by Deuxave bartender Emily Warren:
-1 oz. Twenty Boat Spiced Rum
-3 oz. Left Hand Brewery Good JUJU Ale (ginger-flavored beer)
-2 oz. Molasses Ginger Infusion ( ½ oz. Twenty Boat Rum, ¾ oz. Barrows Ginger Liquer, -½ oz. Lime Juice, 1 Bar Spoon Molasses)
Fill highball glass with ice. Add 2 oz of the molasses ginger infusion and 1 oz of the spiced rum. Top off with the ginger-flavored beer. Garnish with a lime wedge.
