One big Taylor joined another in Lenox Monday night. Taylor Swift appeared on stage with Tanglewood superstar James Taylor for a performance of his classic “Fire and Rain” and a few of Swift’s biggest hits in front of a sold-out crowd. The Taylors have been friends for a while now, and performed “Fire and Rain” together at Madison Square Garden last year. She revealed to her MSG audience that night that she was named after JT. Swift tweeted after Monday’s performance, “Just had the honor of performing with James Taylor to a sold out crowd in MA. We sang Fire and Rain, Ours, and Love Story.” She also tweeted video of the “Fire and Rain” performance with a note that quoted one of the song’s lyrics: “Hours of time on the telephone line.”
