It’s been a while since we’ve heard Eli Roth’s name. But the Newton-bred filmmaker could be back in a director’s chair soon. According to Deadline.com, Roth, whose credits include “Cabin Fever” and “Hostel,” is in talks to direct “Harker,” a reimagining of Bram Stoker’s “Dracula.” No word on who will play Jonathan Harker, the Scotland Yard detective tracking Dracula, but Aussie actor Russell Crowe is apparently confirmed to play Dracula. Roth and Crowe know each other, having worked together on “The Man With the Iron Fists,” a soon-to-be-released martial-arts movie directed by RZA and co-written by Roth.
