Weather Channel’s Jim Cantore at ‘Mission to Lars’ screening

Weather Channel meteorologist Jim Cantore was at the New England Aquarium this week for the Boston premiere of the British documentary “Mission to Lars.” The film chronicles Tom Spicer’s emotional quest to meet his hero, Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich . Spicer suffers from Fragile X syndrome, the most common known cause of autism, and his mission to meet Ulrich was orchestrated — and filmed — by his brother, William, and sister, Kate. (The screening was sponsored by FRAXA Research Foundation, a Newburyport nonprofit that funds Fragile X-related research.) Cantore, whose two children have Fragile X syndrome, was joined at the screening by Boston lawyer Harry Manion , also the parent of a child with Fragile X syndrome, and Fraxa Research Foundation cofounder Katie Clapp .
