‘Blog Will Hunting’ website tweets ‘Good Will Hunting.’ How do you like them apples?

Alex Meriwether and the folks behind Blog Will Hunting, a website dedicated to the now 15-year-old Boston movie “Good Will Hunting,” hosted a live Twitter event on Saturday for all fans (and skeptics) of the film that made Matt Damon and Ben Affleck Boston’s biggest celebrities. Meriwether asked everyone to get a copy of the movie, press play at exactly 2 p.m., and follow along as he and his cohorts tweeted the movie live.
We have to admit, it was amusing. Here are some of our favorite posts from the afternoon of commentary. If you’re a “Good Will Hunting” fan, you should be able to match the one-liners with the right scenes.
■ Sometimes we stare at light bulbs because we are sad geniuses. It’s kind of a Boston thing.
■ “Note how this therapy scene started with the shot from above, with 4 chairs arranged in a diamond shape. Like a BASEBALL diamond.”
■ “I wonder if the moles on his back spell out “SAVE ME.’’
■ “How do you like me now” “My boy’s wicked smaht’’ The one-two screenwriting punch! #OSCAR
■ Will is on the Red Line but in Dorchester. Just riding the T back and forth all night? Like Charlie?
■ Here we go with the Fields Medal. Everyone just calm down about the Fields Medal.
■ Say it with me, people. HOW DO YOU LIKE THEM APPLES.
Blog Will Hunting’s writers say they’ll post the entire afternoon of tweeting on Storify and their website later this week. In related news, Saturday happened to be “Good Will Hunting” star Robin Williams ’s birthday.
