Dylan Dreyer leaving Channel 7

Channel 7 meteorologist Dylan Dreyer is leaving for a “once-in-a-lifetime opportunity,” WHDH news director Linda Miele announced Thursday in an e-mail to station employees. “I can’t say right now where she’s heading,” wrote Miele, but there’s speculation that Dreyer is headed to the “Today” show, where she’s filled in a few times recently. (Efforts to reach Dreyer were unsuccessful Thursday, but we do know she and her fiancé are planning to move to New Jersey.) “It’s hard to imagine the Weather Center without Dylan’s smile [and] her fabulous forecasting,” Miele wrote. “But we’re very excited for her and wish her all kinds of success.”
