Rajon Rondo interning for GQ
Celtics guard Rajon Rondo looks through some cothes on his first day as an intern at GQ. (Handout)
As you might expect, GQ magazine is putting on a full-court press for New York Fashion Week, and the editors have enlisted Rajon Rondo to lend a hand. The Celtics guard, who’s made no secret of his interest in fashion, is interning for the mag, and will work closely with GQ’s creative director Jim Moore. Like Anne Hathaway’s character in “The Devil Wears Prada,” Rondo will attend Fashion Week runway shows and also write about his experience for GQ.com. “I love the set-up so far and I’m having fun. I’m still a rookie at this,” the All-Star point guard said in a statement. “I’m humble. Anything GQ needs me to do — getting coffee — I’ll do. In my position, I haven’t done things like this in my entire life. It’s fun doing what I do, but it’s nice getting the flipside of that 9 to 5.”
