Pedro Martinez still makes them smile

Future Hall of Famer Pedro Martinez brightened the day of Dana-Farber patient Lydia Owen of Beverly when he paid a visit to the hospital Monday. Martinez joined Keith Foulke , Adam Hyzdu , Tim Wakefield , Jason Varitek , and former bench coach Brad Mills in a visit to pediatric and adult patients at the Jimmy Fund Clinic and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. The members of the 2004 World Series winner are in town as part of the team’s 100th anniversary celebration. Last night, the Sox hosted a private dinner at Abe & Louie’s and attendees included Pedro, Dwight Evans , Bill Lee , Jim Rice , Varitek, Wakefield, Foulke, Reggie Smith , Rich Gedman , Larry Lucchino , Ben Cherington , and Charles Steinberg.
