The nonprofit writing center known as 826 Boston celebrated its fifth anniversary with storytelling and a book-making party for supporters. Special guests included cofounder (and McSweeney’s editor) Dave Eggers and the Globe’s own Dan Wasserman. 826 Boston teaches creative and expository writing to kids and helps teachers inspire students to write. It has delivered one-on-one writing support to more than 7,000 students in Boston schools.
