Anchor suspended for comment about Rachel Maddow

A disparaging Facebook comment about Rachel Maddow, the onetime Northampton disc jockey and West Cummington resident who now hosts a primetime news show on MSNBC, led to the suspension of a news anchor on Cincinnati’s Fox affiliate. Tricia Macke, who had updated her Facebook status to read “Rachel Maddow is such an angry young man,” was temporarily off the air over the weekend. Macke, who’s back on the air now, later called her remark “insensitive and inappropriate” and apologized to Maddow “and any others who may have been offended.”
