Last summer’s most famous Hyannis Port regular, Taylor Swift , was surrounded by Kennedys at the 2012 Ripple of Hope Gala at the Marriott Marquis in New York City on Monday night. Swift accepted this year’s Ripple of Hope Award from the Robert F. Kennedy Center for Justice and Human Rights in front of Rory Kennedy , Kerry Kennedy , Ted Kennedy Jr. , Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and his girlfriend, Cheryl Hines , and celebs such as Alec Baldwin (who emceed the night) and Swift’s close friend (and “Glee” star) Dianna Agron . Vanity Fair reports that Swift performed her song “Starlight” for the crowd, which she apparently wrote about the Kennedys before she met them. Swift told the Wall Street Journal in October, of the song, . . . “I came across this picture of these two kids dancing at a dance. It immediately made me think of like how much fun they must have had that night. It was back in the late ’40s. I ended up reading underneath that it was Ethel Kennedy and Robert F. Kennedy. . . . And then her daughter Rory ended up coming to a show a couple weeks later and I told her about the song and she was like, you have to meet my mom.” Swift’s ex-boyfriend, Deerfield Academy student Conor Kennedy , was not spotted at the Ripple of Hope gala, nor was matriarch Ethel Kennedy , who’s been hanging out with Swift ever since the singer saw Rory Kennedy’s documentary, “Ethel,” at the Sundance Film Festival last January. Worth mentioning is that Swift was spotted walking hand-in-hand with her new rumored boyfriend, One Direction’s Harry Styles , hours after the party. The boy bander was also in town for his own show at Madison Square Garden.
