Boston continues to be the Hub of television news. Mark and Donnie Wahlberg are both producing reality shows in the area. And last week, we told you about “The 4th Reich,” the controversial Robert De Niro-produced Showtime drama about neo-Nazis in South Boston. Perhaps less divisive will be the Boston comedy “The McCarthys,” which was just ordered up by CBS. The Hollywood Reporter says that the show — which will be executive produced by Will Gluck, best known for the movies “Easy A” and “Friends With Benefits” — will be about a “loud, sports-crazed Boston clan.” No word on whether the pilot will be filmed here.
