Got sideburns? Boston Casting wants you.
Looks like Boston Casting has started working on that new David O. Russell movie, which films around town this spring. On Wednesday, the casting office announced a Feb. 16 open call for an “upcoming feature film set in the ’70s.” Russell’s movie, which will star Bradley Cooper, Christian Bale, and Amy Adams, is inspired by the 1970s FBI “Abscam” sting operation. The open call will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 129 Braintree St. in Allston. Boston Casting says: “It would be helpful, however not required, that you arrive in ’70s attire. For example, bell bottoms, vests, flower shirts, afros, side burns, mustaches, long hair, mini dresses/skirts, platform shoes, etc. You will still be considered for work on this project if you aren’t able to wear or bring this look.” The film’s producers are also looking for cars from the ’60s and ’70s. If you’ve got one, bring a photo of your wheels.
