Gail Simmons gets a gig at Babson

Gail Simmons, Food & Wine magazine’s special projects director who may be best known as a judge on “Top Chef,” is Babson College’s latest entrepreneur-in-residence. Her appointment is cosponsored by Babson’s Center for Women’s Entrepreneurial Leadership and the college’s Lewis Institute for Social Innovation. Simmons (inset) will work with both entities to mentor Babson entrepreneurs, especially in designing strategic marketing and communications approaches to their fledgling enterprises. . . . Actor Zachary Quinto, who’s appearing in the ART’s production of “The Glass Menagerie,” had lunch at Henrietta’s Table with his boyfriend, “Glee” and “Boss” star Jonathan Groff. We’re told the pair were sitting with two women with fiery red hair. . . . Local TV and movie production people gathered for a party at High Output in Canton. Spotted in the crowd were “Dickie Roberts” director Sam Weisman, John MacNeil of Moody Street Pictures, Boston Casting’s Angela Peri, Dorothy Aufiero of “The Fighter,” Habro’s John Papa, local assistant production coordinator Chuck Slavin, Mark Wahlberg‘s buddy Nacho, and High Output owners John Cini and Jim Hirsch.
