After hearing the sad news that “What Not to Wear” would be ending its decade-long run on TLC later this year, we had to get host — and Boston College alum Clinton Kelly on the phone. Kelly, who splits his time between New York and Connecticut, made us feel a bit better about the cancellation. “It’s a little bit sad,” he told us. “But then, I look back at my body of work and I can be proud of it,” adding that he and cohost Stacy London did great things for reality TV “before reality television took a dive for the absurd.” Kelly admits that it was becoming difficult to balance his “What Not to Wear” work with his other gig on ABC’s foodie show “The Chew." He said the extra free time might make it easier to visit his alma mater. Asked whether he’d ever come back to BC as an instructor, he joked, “If the price were right, I would come back and teach.”
