Yes, that was our Arlington on the TLC show “Hoarding: Buried Alive” on Wednesday night. The town put the word out Wednesday morning that the Arlington Hoarding Response Team would be featured on that night’s episode, and made it clear that they hoped the TLC program would educate locals. We can’t say exactly where the property featured on the show is located, but we can show you some pictures of the resident’s kitchen before (top right) and after (right) the town came to the rescue. TLC described the episode as the story of “Compulsive hoarder Valerie [who] risks eviction when her next-door neighbor reports her to the health department. Valerie now has just 30 days to clear out what has taken decades to accumulate — or she’ll lose everything. With the help of clinical psychologist Dr. Becky Beaton and professional organizer Sarah Buckwalter, Valerie will attempt to tackle the seemingly insurmountable task of cleaning out her home.”
